Lala Chong @ Kayu Ara Damansara

Last week, my family and I went to Lala Chong Restaurant which had just moved into its new location at Kayu Ara Damansara lately. It is a popular seafood restaurant which used to be located at the old Subang airport. In this new and strategic location in the heart of Petaling Jaya, business could improve tremendously thanks to the KL and PJ folks who are always in search for good food. In order to achieve that, Lala Chong must do better than the other seafood restaurant which is located less than 100 metres away...

The new location is huge with more than 80 tables, both air-conditioned and open air

While waiting for food to be served, we went to have a look at the aquarium

You are witnessing the few last moments of these crabs... Not that you care anyway :p

It will look better on our dining table, steamed

We ordered coconut first

Fresh lala, dipped in some kind of alcoholic sauce

Tofu soup that tastes a little like shark's fin soup

Kangkung in sambal belacan (this is really delicious)

Frog legs

Roasted buns - crunchy outside, soft inside

Kam Heong crab

Crab in sweet and sour sauce

Did I mention we also ordered satay? Oh yes, the Malay couple that operates the satay stall has also moved here with Lala Chong. Tasty.

Zhia's Kitchen Restaurant @ Sunway Pyramid

It's a long weekend! And it's a nice way to celebrate this occassion by getting up at 11am and watching Amazing Race Asia after breakfast. Couch potato. lol. More to come when there are CSI MIAMI, CSI NEW YORK and EPL: CHELSEA vs LIVERPOOL tomorrow. haha. Anyway, I went to the Zhia's Kitchen Restaurant at Sunway Pyramid last night. It is located at a strategic location beside Kim Gary Restaurant and only a stone's throw away from Euphoria. It is a spacious Chinese restaurant which serves traditional Chinese food while they are exploring the Western food. Overall, it is a good fusion of both types of food at reasonable price and it gives another option to diners besides going to the usual coffeeshops and restaurants we always patron to.

Dome @ KLCC

On Saturday night, me and my family headed for dinner at the Dome in KLCC. It is located near the fountain of KLCC, giving a clear look of the skyscrapers in KL especially the Trader's Hotel. I find this place and the adjacent Starbucks good places to hang out with friends and family because of the nice ambiance and scenery there. So, head on there on weekends for a simple meet up or gathering!

Wong Kok Char Chan Teng Exclusive One @ Pavilion KL

My family and I were at the Pavilion KL when we decided to have our lunch at Restaurant Wong Kok Char Chan Teng Exclusive One. It was a very pleasant experience as the ambiance of the restaurant can set customers into the mood and get conversations going, accompanied by a variety of food and drinks. Some patrons were only there to 'yumcha', suggesting the restaurant's suitability for a place to drink for youngsters. The tables and chairs are spacious and comfortable as compared to other restaurants that really cramp their customers with small tables and chairs. The restaurant is located on the sixth floor, and is overlooking a perfect scenery of the heart of the city.

It was a heavy meal, but all in all it amounted to about RM104 for four persons. Quite reasonable for a lavish restaurant like this. It was definitely an experience worth the value of money, and also for your tummy. Lol it rhymes. wtf.
